Easily switch to IBM MAS
One license, all functionality
With IBM MAS you get a lot of extra possibilities: IBM Maximo has become part of an extensive software suite and with the new IBM license model you can use the full functionality with one license. This gives you access to mobile applications for processing inspection data, work orders or inventory mutations with a tablet or mobile phone. And, for example, the use of AI-driven functionality for visual inspection offers interesting perspectives. Add to that the intuitive user interface and you already have many good reasons for the upgrade, apart from the discontinuation of support for IBM Maximo 7.6 by IBM.
Step by step to IBM MAS
Are you still working with IBM Maximo 7.6, but have you already switched to the new licensing system? Then you are already pre-sorted to take the next steps towards IBM MAS. This is less complicated than you might think. Because an upgrade is an upgrade and that also applies to your transition to IBM MAS. From Gemba we will guide you and lead you step by step through the process. That starts with a kick-off with all IBM Maximo key users in your organization, to get a clear picture of the objectives of the upgrade. Which new IBM MAS capabilities would they like to use, for example? Later in the process, we will go into more detail on this functionality during workshops with the key users.
Flexible and secure OpenShift platform
The easiest way is to have your IBM MAS environment hosted on an OpenShift platform in the cloud. You can also arrange this through Gemba, we will tell you more about this in a next blog. If you stick with an on-premise solution, we will discuss together what this means for your hardware and help you make the right choices for it.
In about two months
User support
Your employees can quickly get to grips with IBM MAS, thanks to the pleasant look & feel of the user interface. Moreover, the basic principles have remained the same as in IBM Maximo 7.6. As a result, most users only need a few tips to get started with IBM MAS. Do they need more help? We support your employees where and how it is needed, for example with walk-in sessions in which we provide further explanation.
Start on time
At Gemba we have experience with the implementation of IBM MAS and we help you in many ways to make the upgrade a success. If we may give you some advice: do not postpone the matter and start on time. This also with a view to the availability of our consultants. This way you can be sure that you can quickly benefit from the advantages of IBM MAS and be transferred before September 30, 2025.
