Gemba takes privacy seriously and we will process and use information in safely and securely. This privacy statement explains how we handle personal data.

- Gemba takes privacy seriously. We process your personal data because you use our website and our services. We also process personal data that you have disclosed to us yourself, for instance when you filled in in a contact form or registration form for an event.
- We do our best to process the data you have provided to us with care.
- This privacy statement explains which personal data we process, how we handle that personal data and why we collect it as clearly as possible.
- Gemba is a controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with respect to your personal data.
- PERSONAL DATA THAT WE PROCESS
We distinguish the personal data we process according to the type of contact. We process the following data per type of contact:
3.1 Business relations (for example: suppliers and customers)
- First and last name and position of contact person
- Company/association name, registered and postal address, postal code and place
- Phone number
- Email address
- Payment details such as IBAN number and direct debit authorization issued for invoicing purposes
3.2 Website visitors
- Information about your activities on our website, including internet browser and device type.
- Cookie preferences (see article 8).
- This data is collected via Google Analytics, whereby the information is so anonymous that we cannot trace a visitor down to the exact location and person (no tracking IP address).
- SPECIAL AND/OR SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA THAT WE PROCESS
Our website and/or services are not intended to collect data about visitors or persons younger than 16 years of age, unless they have permission from their parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify that a visitor is older than 16 years. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent.
If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without parental consent, please contact us via info@gemba.nl and we will delete that information.
- WHY REASONS AND TERM
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To be able to ring or email you, for example (not limited to): to respond to questions, to send price quotations, to follow up on event registration;
- To inform you about changes to our services and products;
- To send our newsletter if you have subscribed to it (see also Article 7).
- To analyse your behaviour on the website so that we can improve our website and tailor it to your preferences (see item 3.2).
- We do not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data was collected or longer than the legally permitted term.
Gemba does not make decisions based on automated processing about matters that may have consequences, particularly significant ones, for individuals. The decisions we refer to here are ones that are made by computer programs or systems without human intervention (for example, an employee of Gemba).
- SHARING DATA
- Gemba will not sell or share your data with third parties and will only disclose it if it is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.
- Social media buttons are included on our website. If you use a button, the administrators of those services will collect your data
- We only enter into processor agreements with companies that process data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data.
- Gemba remains responsible for those processing operations.
- MARKETING/INFORMATION ACTIVITIES
- We may send information to provide all parties involved (business relations and/or customers) with important information about the work to be performed by us.
- If you have subscribed to our newsletter, you will receive our regular newsletter. You can unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each newsletter. We use MailChimp to send our newsletter.

Gemba takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. Your data may be stored outside the Netherlands; Gemba has taken the necessary measures to ensure that the protection of the data in those locations meets the stated GDPR requirements, if not more stringent requirements.
If you have the impression that your data is not securely stored or there are indications of misuse or a data breach, please contact us immediately via info@gemba.nl.
When sending personal information to us via the internet, you should be aware that you are responsible for the security of your computer and/or telephone and the internet connection over which you send everything. Sending your data is therefore at your own risk.

As a result of various developments, including legal changes, this privacy statement is updated regularly. Any changes to this statement will be announced to all relevant parties insofar possible, via the contact details known to Gemba.
